Alex and Chris’ summer camp wedding at Camp Lenox in Lee MA this September felt like a dream. Alex grew up attending this sweet summer camp, Camp Lenox and decided to have their wedding there, since both families were all over! It was quite the destination location for everyone for this adorable summer camp wedding. After a year of many big changes for my couple, their wedding went off without a hitch and they celebrated in a relaxed summer camp wedding dream with perfect weather and great spirits!
Their wedding day had a fall crispness in the air that made me really grateful to be there celebrating with them all.

Alex got ready with her ladies with lots of laughing happening and music playing. It was a joyful and comfortable start to the day!
My second photographer Melissa was spending time with Chris doing portraits while I was with Alex and her ladies. When you don’t do a first look and see one another before the wedding doing portraits before the wedding, separately is a really smart move to save precious time later when you have to try and squeeze all of the portraits (wedding, wedding party and family) in later!
Alex’s wedding gown by BHLDN was STUNNING Â and fit this gorgeous bride like a literal glove. It was like it was literally made for her! I am such a fan of the illusion necklines and this wedding gown was absolutely perfect!
Alex got her wedding gown on with just her Mom, while her wedding party got dressed below. She was feeling nervous so I asked her if she would like to do an official first look with her bridesmaids and she said YES!
I couldn’t have asked for a more emotive and excited group of bridesmaids if I tried! They were so expressive and amazing and their energy just dissipated any nerves Alex was feeling immediately!
Since Alex didn’t want anyone to see her before the ceremony, our portrait location options were limited to the tennis courts right where we were. I decided we were going to just EMBRACE where we were- a summer camp! So we did and I love what we got.
To the right of the hockey rink there was a tiny opening where I could access a tiny spot of the forest behind it. Hello portrait studio! It looks so gorgeous and I am super happy we were able to get the balance of photos that showed the location clearly and embraced the literal camp of where we were, with a classic and clean and gorgeous forest feel that this nook provided.

Alex did a first look with her stepdad that was super emotional!
She wanted to do a portrait of both Dads.
Before the ceremony the ladies had a prayer circle in the mess hall.
Alex and Chris’s summer camp wedding on the deck was emotional, funny, and just about perfect!
If these images don’t absolutely screen SUMMER CAMP WEDDING I am not entirely sure what does! The dock was perfect for portraits and I just went wild with it!
Check me out working away on a swim dock at a summer camp wedding right at the beginning of fall! Just living the dream, baby.
There was a touching tribute to Alex’s father who passed away. There was not a dry eye in the camp.
There was sooooo much joyful dancing all night long!
Their DJ Cammy V tore it UP I was loving literally every song and every mix he was spinning! This guy requested a song for his partner that she was SO PUMPED FOR! I love that I caught her reaction!
Alex’s aunt and uncle have been married maybe 29 years? They danced like they were newlyweds and had so much energy and love for one another!
Alex and Chris, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding. It was AMAZING so much fun and I am grateful I was able to spend this gorgeous day with you all. Congratulations! XOXOXOX
