A winter Lord Thompson Manor wedding was the PERFECT was to end my 2021 wedding season! I met Jenn and Shawn last Spring as they were in full planning mode for their winter Lord Thompson Manor wedding. There was so much to decide on, and the choices were plentiful. The good thing is, the team at Lord Thompson are so incredibly skilled at throwing a party and not overlooking any detail! After chatting with Jenn and Shawn and hearing how overwhelmed they were feeling, I reassured them. Jackie and her team at the Manor would have it all under control, just surrender and embrace the choices now and enjoy it as much as you can!

They did exactly that. Trusted the professionals they hired for their winter Lord Thompson Manor wedding and just rolled with it. They kept their love for one another top of mind- I followed along on instagram while Shawn professed his love for his future wife as the days led up to their wedding. It filled my heart with so much love to see how in love they were with one another. The day of their wedding was no exception!

I love the Spa and cottage area of the Manor where the ladies get ready for the wedding. The all white vibe is so different to the feel of the manor, and it is a gorgeous compliment for their photos. Here they both are with their Moms getting ready!

Jenn did a first look with her Dad. He was so happy to see his daughter all ready for her wedding. I am such a huge fan of first looks with Dads, Moms, partners. Bring it on!

The many faces of Jenn…. she has such a fun sarcastic side to her and gave these little faces all day. I caught…many of them and had to share a few here, it really showed her personality!

I learned that Shawn has a way with words. He may come off a little reserved, but he sure can let loose with a pen and paper. He wrote Jenn a letter, and her reactions (of which there are many!) were adorable.

This berry and sangria color palette for the bridesmaids dresses was DELISH. I am a huge fan!

Speaking of delish, this light and Shawn’s smile are, too! He was so excited to see Jenn, this is him right before the first look with Jenn.

After their first look we walked down the driveway because I noticed the light was amazing. It was a good thing we didn’t have to go far because it was SO COLD and I had to work fast for Jenn and myself, my fingers were freezing and it was getting harder and harder to work my camera!

It literally could be Spring here, they look so toasty and happy.

This bouquet is absolutely STUNNING. Jackie makes such gorgeous arrangements and Jenn’s bouquet was just gorgeous!

After our outside portraits we headed to the drawing room to warm up by the fire. I had to grab some portraits here as well, of course!

Literally the entire wedding party was standing here watching us, which, you certainly wouldn’t ever know!

I love seeing all of their engagement session images printed out and on display!

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1,000 times… Shawn literally saw Jenn TEN MINUTES AGO. Here she is walking down the aisle with her Dad to Shawn, his eyes are FILLED with tears. A first look doesn’t ever, ever replace this moment. This is it’s own entire thing. Shawn’s tears here are proof.

We segued right into toasts after the ceremony, which is something I love that the Manor does. This moment Jenn’s Dad said a word wrong and everyone DIED. It rhymes with ‘treated’ which is what he meant to say….and I am so sorry I LOVED the slip up because these reactions were priceless!

Another winter Lord Thompson Manor wedding delight! Their outside vignettes for photos….! They also do them in summer, fall and spring!

Then we headed back inside to warm up with dancing!

I was loving Jenn’s excitement for her cake cutting! Also that deep red peony was out of this world amazing!

Boop!

Jenn and Shawn, thank you so much for trusting me with your day! I had so much fun with you both for your engagement, your wedding and cannot wait for what lies ahead. You can’t get rid of me, so don’t even TRY! I am your photographer for life! Congratulations to you both and Happy Holidays!
