A downtown Hartford engagement session is the direct way to the very center of my heart! When I met Tricia and Bill we clicked instantly. Tricia has such wonderful energy and when I saw them both together they just made sense. Their care for one another was evident as we poked around my beloved city of Hartford. I also loved how Bill thought Hartford was such a lovely city! It really is, in case those reading it have not noticed. Check out these amazing buildings and sculptures! We met up on Main Street in Hartford by Hartford City Hall to get started. The threat of rain hung heavy over us literally the entire time, so we worked at a fast clip and it made it even a little more fun as a result! I have to say I do love a time crunch once in a while to really push me!
Alexander Calder’s Stegosaurus is hands down my most favorite Hartford spot. It is smack in the middle of the most beautiful spots (although I could literally do a bunch more sessions, all focusing on different parts of this amazing city) and just reminds me of my childhood. It’s located right between the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and Hartford City Hall. Which, I may add, is one of the most gorgeous City Hall’s in the WORLD. My opinion yes, but I welcome the challenge of proving me wrong!
Fun fact whilst linking my post here… I found out that the MOMA is exhibiting Calder’s work there until August 7! SCORE!
There are literally SO MANY gorgeous nooks all around Hartford. It felt like a treasure hunt for me!
Hartford’s City Hall really has a giant spot in my heart! It is just so freaking GORGEOUS inside and out!
These black and white floors are just amazing. Makes my heart skip a beat and honestly could Tricia and Bill have fir in more perfectly??
FOLKS. HELLO. HI. WOW.
Back to my old beauty, Stegosaurus!!
From stem to stern this beast of a building takes my breath away and challenges me to see it in a fresh way, each and every time!
Like. Who wouldn’t want this as their ceremony space?? If you are thinking about an intimate wedding location , this is the place!!!
Just as the rain started we hit up the skate park in Hartford. The colors just popped and helped us all end on a high. I had such a blast poking around the city.
Tricia and Bill, I had SO MUCH FUN with you both poking around my hometown city. I am beyond excited for your wedding at The Lord Thompson Manor this summer, see you both then! XOXO
