Eyes up, heart open
The final day of the Engage Luxury Wedding and Business Summit was hosted at the historical Kensington Palace in London. Kensington Palace is one of those spaces in the world that I honestly never thought I would visit, let alone have backstage access to! What a treat to be able to work in such a grand space as Kensington Palace in London. Literally a dream come true, was a bold enough to even dream it in the first place!
My great friend Sarah Haywood produced such an over the top event this entire week, I was blown away by Read More
Day two of the Engage Luxury Wedding and Business Summit in London was maybe my favorite day. For lunch we got to enjoy an amazing lunch at the Rosewood London while the Juke Joints strolled around serenading us! I had the pleasure of meeting these gentleman this past summer in August on the Belmont Royal Scotsman as we journeyed across Scotland for a week long 50th birthday adventure produced by Sarah Haywood. My first introduction to these fellas was after a rainy hike through rolling hills filled with heather in bloom. We returned to the train platform with waiters Read More
October in the UK at the Rosewood London? Sign me UP. Well, actually that’s not entirely true… I have been attending / speaking at and photographing the esteemed Engage Luxury Wedding + Business Summits since 2012. For 2019 I made a promise to myself that I would do all of the follow up this year, and treat myself once I had, by attending again! Well, my dear friend Sarah Haywood had other plans when she decided to take on the gigantic task of producing the next Engage all over London! She and I met in 2012 and have worked Read More
Adare Manor in Ireland was host to the Engage Luxury Wedding and Business Summit in October 2018. I was honored to be there as the photo director for the photography team that documents the three day event. Having been to about 17 or so Engages in a variety of capacities, from attendee, to photographer, to speaker, to main stage speaker to now photo editor and director was a treat. I mean, I have never worked as hard at an event ever, and was tasked with assigning coverage to the team, editing on the spot for social media and Read More
A carnival themed graduation party in June seemed like the best way for me to spend a gorgeous Saturday this summer! When I heard my clients plans for her daughters’ graduation party my head was spinning so bad it almost popped off my neck! Perhaps it was because I would have the honor of working with one of my most favorite planners, Jacqueline and her team of Lifetime Events by Jacqueline, based in New York City. We had the pleasure fo working together for Kaylee’s quince and for Karen and Shawn’s destination wedding in Puerto Rico last year. Jacqueline Read More
The Knot Pro Workshop was hosted at The State Room in Boston, MA this past June. I was asked to share about how to ‘Be True to You and Still Get Hired’ on social media. Being authentic in social media has been a hot topic for a while in the wedding and event industry. There can be such a disconnect there for those of us who cater to a level of clientele that may or may not live the kind of lives we live; so then how can we be ourselves and still get hired?
My whole theory Read More
The Engage Summit was last week (now last year!) It was the Engage Luxury Wedding and Business Summit’s last event of 2018 at Solaz Los Cabos in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I have been to Mexico many times before, it’s my father’s native country and also, hello it’s MEXICO and it’s warm and beautiful and colorful and my soul loves it! Cabo was amazing and even though, regrettably I didn’t get to explore the area much at all (save for our pre Engage dinner with some of my most favorite people EVER) I have to say I would come Read More
This summer I had the honor of being asked to document a field to vase dinner tour at my good friend David Beahm’s personal home, Thistle Dew Farm in PA. I had visited there a few weekends before and if I could describe heaven visually, this would be on my map of heaven. Right in front of David’s home is a huge hedge of zinnias… if you want to picture what my soul looks like, it would be that! So to go back and see Thistle Dew transformed for a big event like this was so much fun! We Read More
