Mount Hope Farm Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Mount Hope in Bristol Rhode Island is hands down one of my favorite spots for a place to let loose and get creative. I have worked there twice, both for Bliss Celebrations Magazine. Both times I left while floating on a cloud, it felt like! As a creative person it feels really validating to be given free reign to choose spots to create work with a team of equally talented partners. Mount Hope has so many nooks and crannies to poke around and create magic in, and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunities I have Read More

COVID-19 is this the end for the class of 2020

COVID-19 and the Class of 2020. How is this all going to go down?
This March of 2020, our kids are all unexpectedly home from school in an effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. The virus has wreaked havoc the world over, shutting down literally…everything.
At this point, due to concerns about flattening the curve and slowing the spread of the coronavirus it’s uncertain when or if they will be returning to school for the remainder of the 2020 school year. While many kids may let out a collective fist pump of joy at being Read More

Engage Luxury Wedding Summit Adare Manor Ireland

Adare Manor in Ireland was host to the Engage Luxury Wedding and Business Summit in October 2018. I was honored to be there as the photo director for the photography team that documents the three day event. Having been to about 17 or so Engages in a variety of capacities, from attendee, to photographer, to speaker, to main stage speaker  to now photo editor and director was a treat. I mean, I have never worked as hard at an event ever, and was tasked with assigning coverage to the team, editing on the spot for social media and Read More

Castle Howard Wedding with Sarah Haywood

Castle Howard hosted day two of the most EPIC weddings I have photographed. Designed and planned by the incomparable Sarah Haywood, named one of the top international wedding planners by Vogue. In an article on the Business Insider, they tout Sarah with planning weddings for billionaires that even celebrities can’t afford. It’s true! I’ve seen them! This particular wedding took place first at Selby Abbey in York, England for the wedding ceremony, and then wrapped up the next day with a helluva party at Castle Howard in North Yorkshire England.
The party guest count totaled about 65 guests, and Read More

Cuban Inspired Shoot at Gather and Lounge

Gather and Lounge, a furniture rental house in Bridgeport CT, has hosted some of the most fun wedding and event industry parties in the winter. Their Havana Nights themed party a few years back was to me, and apparently to Danielle, too, just a wonderful excuse to do a styled shoot and showcase the gorgeous design of their party. Carrie Wilcox, of Carrie Wilcox Floral Design, absolutely outdid herself with that KILLER arch for the ceremony! It was lush and tropical, and warmed us up on that chilly January day. Luckily I have worked with Carrie and Danielle on Read More

Ice Hotel de Glace Montreal Engagement Session

An engagement session at the famed Ice Hotel  The Hotel De Glace in Montreal, Quebec? YES PLEASE!A few winters back I was so lucky to have my close friend and colleague Tammy Swales, a Rochester NY based wedding and event photographer, invite me to join her on a trip to Quebec to photograph her couple at the infamous ice hotel! I had heard about this place and was super intrigued and curious and instantly on board for the adventure. It just so happened that I was going to be in Vermont not too far from where we needed to Read More

Connecticut Winter Maternity Session

My winter maternity session at near and around Case Mountain in Manchester CT with Colleen and her wife Kristyn was literally the stuff that my dreams are made of. When Kristyn told me that she and Colleen were going to start trying for a family I was so happy. Soon after starting their journey Colleen was pregnant! I hoped they would want to do photos with me, but I was not totally sure since my buddy Kris legit hates having her photo taken. I did all of the photography for her training studio’s website, Move Strong and it took Read More

Branford House Groton CT Winter Wedding

A winter wedding at The Branford House at Avery Point UCONN in Groton CT where the Winters get married? Yes PLEASE! Alex and Liane had a brisk winter day as the setting for their long awaited wedding. I met Liane years ago way back in 2012 for a photoshoot for Bliss Celebrations Magazine. She was stunning…and quirky as hell and I loved her! Over the years our photo shoots took us all over, even to Paris with her then boyfriend Alex Winter. They were such good sports, even when we got kicked out of the Eiffel Tower spot for Read More

Frozen Two Crushed It Also: I Did a Photo Sesh With My Kids

Frozen Two, the movie, just blew my mind. I was so not prepared. What started out as a snow day for the kids morphed into a photoshoot in our favorite spot, Elizabeth Park. After I joyfully processed the images, my daughter and I headed to the movies to see Frozen Two. On the way I asked her to remind me of the plot, since it was about 5 or 6 years ago that I saw Frozen and despite really enjoying the film I completely forgot what it was about. She filled me in on the five minute drive and Read More

Whittmore Wedding Vyne Restaurant Middlebury CT

A fall Vyne Restaurant wedding in Middlebury CT with Kristina and Joe closed out my fall season in the best way. Kristina is the last sister in the Ford family who’s wedding I was honored to have photographed. Even typing that is making me feel so nostalgic and just ramble on down memory lane. In 2007 I photographed her sister Alicia’s wedding, then in 2009 sister Marissa with Michael Pratt (he will always be a two namer for me!) followed! Ten years alter so oh so worth the wait was my girl Kristina and her beau Joe. I adore Read More
