Mackenzie and Steve’s Indian summer Aria wedding in Prospect CT was filled with love and dancing and more dancing! That would be Steve dancing the night away from the very moment we arrived to the very moment we left! when I walked into the bridal suite where Mackenzie and her ladies were getting all beautified, it was filled with a haze of hairspray cut through only by the flash of sequins adorning the bridesmaids gowns! I squealed when I saw them and Mackenzie immediately confesses how much she LOVES sparkly things! A girl after my own heart, for sure. Her wedding gown by the designer Pnina Tornai was not left behind in the sparkle department, either! Her gown was a sparkle factory, the hub of sparkle for her gaggle of sparkly bridesmaids that flitted about like fairies the entire day and night. I was literally in a sparkle trance from the second I showed up until I left for the evening and I loved every minute of it!
Honestly what I loved the most was how Mackenzie and Steve were just truly themselves the entire day. They both represented themselves so perfectly with their choice of wedding attire- Mackenzie in her glittery gown and Steve in his North Carolina loving blue suit and Air Jordans! I won’t dare to say which ones or anything sneaker specific for fear of not describing them properly! (thank you Jackson, my sneaker obsessed son for constantly educating me on this!)

This church was the site of the very first wedding I photographed for a non friend / family member back in 2002 where I got paid for it and was like WAIT WHAT I CAN MAKE MONEY DOING SOMETHING I LOVE SO MUCH?? Turns out, yes, I can! 17 years in business and still going strong!
I loved how emotional Steve’s sister got..It made me choke up thinking about how emotional I could imagine my daughter Georgie getting at her brother Jackson’s wedding.. (cue sob fest over here…!)
This church was STUNNING. I felt like I was in Europe and just took it all in, the ceilings, the stained glass, the columns. All of the gorgeous detail!
I stood there in sparkle town for a hot minute, you better believe it!
Mike, the videographer said in all of the times he has worked at Aria he has never seen any photographer use the fountain.. I was all.. wait really? Maybe I don’t love the big horses on them so much, but baby we still made some magic with that light and that fountain misty spray BS!
This little light soaked nook made me CRAZY HAPPY so we snagged some photos for a minute or 15!
Seriously the best reaction to seeing a ballroom I have ever photographed! They were so adorable and excited!
Weddings at Aria are so easy to photograph; the light is gorgeous, the gold and cream walls and ceiling just create this glowy and warm vibe that I can seriously get DOWN in!
Their cake topper was made from a photo I took of them during their engagement session, I love seeing that kind of stuff!
You think Steve danced the whole night? You all should have seen his father get down! I was super impressed with their moves! I love an Aria wedding!
Mackenzie and Steve. what can I even say?? I loved your engagement session, I loved your wedding and I cannot wait for our ladies lunch after you return from the huts of Bora Bora! Congratulations to you both!
