And on the 12th of June…..IT WAS SUNNY!!!!
And so, she cried…. See, every major event in Chelsea and Chris’ lives together had rain involved. So for their wedding? Well, it would rain of course! It was to the point where Chelsea didn’t even check the weather report because she just KNEW it would rain. And she was right, actually! It rained all morning…right up until we showed up! See, I bring the sun with me everywhere I go!
ba-LING
Miss Chelsea wore Vera Wang shoes, had exquisite rings and got her gown from the Wedding Embassy in Watertown
Her headpiece and earrings were from none other than the White Dress by the Shore
They all got ready at the Homewood Suites and since we had some time to kill before the ceremony at Hartford City Hall- we ventured upstairs to the ballroom to take advantage of the awesome light
Their ceremony was at Hartford City Hall, one of the most beautiful places to get married, EVER!! Check out the light here- and the cool black and white floor…. and the ceiling in the stairway…. and the light fixtures!
Here is Katie’s shot of Chelsea and her Dad walking down the aisle…. there were so many awesome takes on this we had to strategize and plan who would be where!
Here is Chris, one of my all time favorite grooms…welling up at the sight of his lady coming down the aisle to him…
My best guy Mike had the best vantage point…. check out these next two killer shots of his!

Check out City Hall, right?
I could slather myself with this buttery light like a piece of wheat toast
It’s like a buttery light sandwich. I just couldn’t choose which one I liked best so you get both!
We went directly upstairs to the third floor for some portraits while the family gathered for their portraits. Check out Chris’ socks!
This year one of the best parts of my team is having Katie along with Mike and I. For the laughs alone I love it! But for our clients the best part is getting three completely different vantage points of one set up. Here, is my view of this shot, although it is a slightly different pose. It’s not even a pose really, they just went up to the rail and we directed them from there. But this is my view.
I have some to know and love Mike’s eye. Only the one eye though. Not both.I can sometimes see what he is seeing. But only sometimes, and it’s really inconsistent. So I can’t really I guess. But I know it’s Mike’s when I see it, and it just makes me all happy and stuff. Check his shot here, like right here below this text
And this is Katie Slater’s interpretation. How awesome are they????
So off to Elizabeth park we went! This light was rocking my world
You can never really ever got wrong with peonies!
It was worth the literal thorns in my sides
Those buttons are legit! No zipper here!
It just kept getting better and better
Back at the Bond…. Mike snagged the cake shot
They had these cool Hartford postcards laid out for people to wish them advice or well wishes, and then they were mailed out! I loved it!
I am in LOVE with this shot- it’s all Mike Romano and man, does it highlight this chandelier or what??
The Bond has such a nice warm feel to it
After their first dance the dj announced that he had a surprise form Chelsea’s Dad. He played a song “I Saw Her First” I think it’s called- that her Dad sang and recorded for her! Of course, she got a little emotional
And of course her Dad cut in
The best man had some funny things to say about Chris
Here are our now clients turned good friends- Jen and Paul from a past wedding we shot- where we met Chelsea and Chris and they saw us in action and decided that we were their kind of people! Mike snagged this great shot of them tearing it up on the dance floor.
Mike and I were trying to avoid catching Katie’s swine flu germs!
Thank you a million times over Chelsea and Chris for such a great time- we know you are enjoying your awesome honeymoon in Fiji can’t wait for some pictures!!!
As always, check out MIKE
and KATIE’S blogs for their interpretation of these very same events!
