meet nikki nicole
A few weeks ago I photographed my close friend, the one and only Nikki Nicole. She just changed her blog up and needed a new head shot to go with her fresh new look. Nikki is a photographer in Wethersfiled, and loves shooting newborn and kids portraits. Check her out!
One of the things that I love about Nikki is that she is not afraid to just bring it for the camera.And boy did she! Our main man, Principal shooter extraordinaire Erik Maziarz shot this with me and we had so much fun bopping around Hartford, laughing the entire time.
So one of Nikki’s colors is lime green. And there’s this wall that I have been jocking since, well for a long time. The only thing is…. it’s in a little bit of an unsavory stretch of town…. and so we went regardless! Because Miss Nikki is up for anything! Plus we had Erik with us so we were covered.
But boy did we get HECKLED!! These guys pulled out chairs on their stoops to watch us shoot, and the catcalls were FLYING!!! If you know Nikki you know she just went with it, and laughed and smiled. It didn’t faze her a BIT.

Really really. I just love her freckles. Freckles are all innocence to me and kind of cancel out her devious side. Cuz this one is DEVIOUSness personified!!

Another thing I love about Nik … my girl is JACKED! She’s the kind of gal you would want to have your back in a bar brawl. Not that I typically find myself in those kind of situations. I’m just saying.

This is Nikki’s old camera. She is a legit, old tyme pro, who used to shoot weddings in 2 1/4!!!! She’s really like 65 but she looks young

Carla, these photos are excellent! Numbers 7 & 11 are my favorites, simply gorgeous. Over all and amazing session. By the way, I saw that one of your favorite books is “The Giving Tree” which was one of my favorites growing up as well (all of Shel Silverstein’s books actually!).

OMG …..I have been DYING….Really, totally anxious to see these! I heard how awesome it was but man o’man they are way awesomer (yeah, it’s a word) than described. Holy hot tamales! Green wall with purple perfect branding! I love the camera with the flare talk about layering, out-of-the-box awesomeness! The last one, YES!!! So Nikki!!! I know I had a turn but I want another one after I hit the gym as hard as Nikki, what a cat she is or whatever is sexier, lol. Grrrrrrrraaaowwwww
