Eyes up, heart open
Castle Hill Inn, in Newport Rhode Island, is quickly turning into one of my most favorite wedding venues to photograph at…! From the amazing staff there (who doesn’t love Jeremy?) to the epic, sweeping views of the river, to the killer sunsets you are treated to like the best gift from above… I mean honestly, why wouldn’t you want to work here? Kristen and Matt had the most perfect day for their outdoor wedding at Castle Hill. We had the wonderful Stephanie Frasier-Grimm from Couture Parties in Newport as our spirit guide for the whole event and we Read More
Classic New England b&b turned stunning wedding venue, The Inn at Mount Pleasant exudes charm. The Inn is a restored 18th century farmhouse on 40+ acres of land. The property has beautiful views to the south and west. There are meadows, wooded areas, stone walls, a historic barn and trails to the Nickel Brook creek. You know, the stuff you need for a quintessential New England wedding. Bob and Maggie, the owners of the farm, are downright fantastic people. I’m relatively sure they are the one’s responsible for this ridiculous rainbow.
The creative team could not be beat. It’s so much Read More
I am overjoyed to announce our newest associate photographer for C10 Studios, my good friend, and Hartford neighbor!!! Sarah McCoy! I have known Sarah for a long time now, I want to say since 2007? and have loved getting to know her and her eye for photography over the years. I have loved watching her grow and change and evolve and just, see. Her wry smile and sense of humor are two of the things that I love about her, second only maybe to watching her with her kids. She is so… relaxed and funny and just the way she Read More
I recently had the pleasure of photographing an editorial shoot to spotlight Connecticut’s newest wedding and event venue, 19Main, in historic downtown New Milford on the green. Perched on the corner of picturesque Main & Bank Street on the green, sits 19Main, a former bank restored to all of it’s glory to now celebrate weddings and events. The building was originally built in 1903 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It features 3 original bank vaults, each one unique and amazing on their own but (get this!) the vault in the bridal suite was converted into Read More
When a photographer asks you to be their photographer for their wedding… well. It’s a huge honor. But when it’s also someone who you have known for years, someone who you have grown with as a person and as a photographer with, that’s got even more of a heart achy-GAH-I am so flattered and excited and shit I hope you like what I do vibe to it! Like, I just want you to love how I see your day, how I see your closest friends and family and the love of your life. I hope you like how Read More
This year has been the year of just, soul-mate clients! And I am not talking about for each other, because, like, DUH if you’re not..! Then we have bigger issues, am I right? I am talking about my clients being my soul-clients. And not all of them are, which is, (in the real world anyway) the norm, am I right? But there is something magical about this year’s lineup… something really deep and real, and I am so happy about it!
Enter Laura and Rob. My first clue that they were something special should have been the fact that Laura Read More
I can’t say enough about the Michaels. From our first chat on the phone (where I feel like I was squealing on the inside, and quite possibly it was on the outside!) after hearing how excited they were to marry each other with the love and support of their friends and family at one of the most beautiful venues in Newport… Castle Hill..(!) I just couldn’t wait to see how it all unfolded. How dashing they would look in their tuxes. How they would so tenderly look into each others’ eyes as they exchanged vows. Read More

I have recently started to listen to and appreciate country music. Big share there! Not like super hard-core twang-fest country music, but more the kind that gets you in the feels. Brandi Carlile, The Zac Brown Band, always Willie Nelson, always. You feel me. Or maybe you don’t. Here’s the thing. For me, as an artist, I need to find clients who see my work and can feel it resonate within them. Much like these country artists to me, I need my clients to feel the emotion Read More
I met Vanessa a few years back at one of the most amazing industry conferences there is, called Engage Luxury Wedding Summits. We circled around each other for a few conferences before really seeing what great friends we were going to become. You know how that is when you make friends in the industry, you try to maintain some level of professionalism and fanciness and do the square dance of .. professionalism and fanciness! Well, we do-si-do’d right into bestie country when she stepped in and designed and printed the beautiful prayer card for my good friend and employee Read More
While vacationing at The Caribbean Club on Grand Cayman (one of my most favorite places in the world..!!!), I was able to spend some time with an industry friend of mine who I met last year at two conferences – Grow Brand Camp in Maine and Engage! in Cayman – Linda Mitchell of Luxury Travel Pro. Linda specializes in luxury concierge services in both Cayman and Bermuda (not a bad gig!!) and was celebrating her wedding anniversary to her super adorable husband Ken of FORTY YEARS!!!
Not sure if that kinda big time match sunk in with you all…I said, and I Read More
