This amazing backyard tented wedding in Glastonbury CT was perfect in so many ways, the weather was hand picked from my list of perfect weather for weddings and there was a PUPPY SURPRISE! Let’s start with the weather… The last time I had been at their home, where the wedding was, it was for their engagement session, you can see it HERE. Unfortunately it down poured like crazy, so I wasn’t able to see their yard in its full glory, although I still created some romantic imagery with them both. Their wedding day made up for that in spades! The late afternoon light was so warm and buttery it was perfection. The absolute BEST part of this day, for me was a first, which after my 15+ years of wedding experience is saying something! During what was supposed to be the garter toss Katie decided to surprise her new husband with the best gift of all- a brand new super adorable little puppy! He was so adorable, I mean, simply look above to see for yourself! This little cutie added such a fun and adorable element to the day (how could he not??) it kept me smiling from ear to ear just watching the kids chase him around the yard and Kevin cuddling him. It was a good balance of all of the emotions that weddings can bring out in everyone, and from a photographer’s perspective it was the best day.
