Eyes up, heart open
One of my favorite aspects of photographing weddings and engagements is exploring new places. I was equally excited though, when TWO of my 2011 wedding couples wanted their engagement photos in my hometown. I couldn’t wait to put a new twist on my old stomping grounds. Thank you Laura and Derek for trusting me with some unconventional locations and for braving the notorious Windsor mosquitoes!
Stay tuned for Katelyn and Justin’s Windsor e-shoot coming up!
Oh, my poor tired old little blog!! She is so behind on keeping up with all that we are doing at the studio…! There are so many, I mean SO many shoots that I am so pumped to share, I just made another list and was a teeny bit overwhelmed when I looked it over! Ah, well. Such is life I say! So onward and upward we go!

There are places in this world that I love, places that we all love. Most of the time these places are somewhere far away- some white sand beach on a tropical island, some museum in Europe… I am sure you all have a spot that you love, right? Well, for me and my family one of these places is right here in my home state of CT, at the sunflower fields at Buttonwood Farms in Griswold CT . That a place like this exists so close is so amazing, I feel so lucky to be able to visit Read More
Meet Trevor and Jessica. So cute, so fun, and so easy going – I had no idea I was even working that day. They got married at the stunning Branford House on the Avery Point Campus of UCONN. If you’ve never been there, you should go. It’s beautiful – even on cloudy, almost rainy days. It’s a great place to hang out and have a picnic, take a stroll along the water, or just simply relax on the expansive lawn. Or of course, it’s a GREAT place to get married!!

Kash and Nick flew all the way from the UK to get married. Lucky for me, I was able to be a part of their amazing, family-centered, DIY backyard celebration in Fairfield, CT. Many thanks to Sandra Costello, my amazing photo partner for the day. Thank you, Sandra.
Kash, Nick and their families crafted just about every single one of the details of this wedding – from the invites to the flowers and desserts everyone played a role in making an already beautiful day that much more spectacular! Check it out for yourselves!

With it’s green parks, tree lined streets, historic brownstones and fine dining on every corner, it’s clear why Mary and Tim have made the South End of Boston their home. We began our shoot in the shelter of their apartment, and then made our way in between downpours through the back alleys of their neighborhood to a friend’s rooftop, to Boston Common, and then back. Thank you Mary and Tim for braving the weather, and for showing me a great time and great food!
Before I tag out for a spell (vay-CAY-shun!!) I wanted to leave you all with a bit o’ the beach! Yesterday I had the pleasure of working on the beaches of Newport alongside my reflector holding husband Dave and my clients Kristen and Brian during the most golden of hours. I wanted to show a different side of Newport, one that focuses on the amazing natural and wild beauty of its beaches… so we did what any normal photographer and client duo do… we beach hopped! We had so much fun trying to beat the light and race around!

I am so excited to share another project we have been working on this Spring- a second cover and bridal editorial spread for The Connecticut Bride magazine! Those of you that know me know I thrive in a team environment, and what better way to have that then to do editorial styled shoots! I am blessed with being friends and colleagues with some of the most talented vendors in the country. Not only that, but they, too love doing shoots like these and bring their A game each and every time. We all thrive on the challenge of having to Read More
