Eyes up, heart open
In early April Mike, Alison and I journeyed over to Newport’s Glen Manor House for an amazing spring wedding! The weather was bright blue sunny skies, despite our bride Kim actually hoping for rain! Rain! See, Tom and Kim recently relocated to Seattle and wanted to have Seattle represented in some way… and if it wasn’t gonna be coffee then it would be rain! Or not… ! In any event it was a fabulous day, and we all had a great time!! Here we showed up to the suite where Kim was getting her makeup done…

Yes. I am going to just be open and admit it. All this talk of having a balance with your personal and professional life. Even me. Yes, I preach it! I try my hardest to live a balanced life. But, in all honesty I am a completely obsessed and off balance lady. I think about photography all the time. ALL. the. TIME. I can’t help it!! And I am not going to apologize for it, not that anyone is asking me to! It is so much of who I am, and there isn’t a place for me to separate from Read More
Just when you think you are in a rut, you aren’t! And just when you think you have time to plan every little detail for months and months… you don’t! One of my shooting goals for myself this year has been to knock myself out of my own cozy little comfort zone! It was hard, I have fleece sheets and yahtzee on my iphone in my comfort zone! But I had to, just to keep things fresh here in the C10-refer-to-myself-in-the-third-person space that is my brain!
I have a few engagement sessions this year where I am in total control Read More
On a brisk New England March afternoon, Mike and I were like Peaches and Herb and were reunited once again for our wedding season! To say we are excited for it is the understatement of the year, and those of you that know Mike know how easily excitable he can get, right. Hah! Well to have my wedding game day opener be at The Ocean House in Watch Hill Rhode Island know how over the moon I was! Way back in the day this is the very place that my hubs Dave and I wanted to tie the proverbial know! Read More
It was truly a brilliant day the day Aimee and Adam got married. The sun was shining, it was beautiful and warm outside, the love was pure and evident, every single person was sweet, wonderful and welcoming; and I was shooting with the famous, funny, and talented Cheryl Cronin! Seriously, how could the day get any better??!!
Aimee’s Dad built their house, so it was fitting that we used it as a prop.
Aimee designed all of her own invites, programs, table numbers, etc. This girl has some serious talent, these things were gorgeous!!! A perfect blend Read More
In addition to planning and attending inspire Boston 2011 in Concord MA this year, I had the pleasure of teaching two shooting workshops on wedding day posing. Shooting workshops are something that I am very passionate about teaching! Normally I limit my class size to only 5 per class to give as much one on one attention as needed. For the sake of teaching more I had bigger classes, and everyone was great!
My first couple were such troopers! Eric and Amber of RAW Photo Design were more than willing to freeze in the rain for some C10 snuggle time, Read More
Tis the season for all of those photography conferences, workshops, seminars, mentoring sessions and just about any and everything else learning related that all us photogs go to to prepare us for our seasons! The retreat style photography conference that was Inspire Boston 2011 just wrapped up last week for me and it was awesome! I spent the last year with an amazing team planning and organizing for it, also taught at it and attended…To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement!
Additionally, I just got back from ASMP‘s SB3 (Strictly Business 3) in Chicago. What a breath of Read More
