Eyes up, heart open
Everything about Melissa and Pete is cool. Their neighborhood, the way they look at each other, their hair… I could go on. But instead you’ll have to have a look for yourself!
Thanks for being so awesome guys!! Can’t wait until November!!
Once upon a time there was a wedding that I had the absolute joy of photographing… in the unlikeliest of places- The Cradle of Aviation Museum in Long Island. There were many other stops in between, their first look, the church and finally the museum. G was the most radiant, happy and calm bride, and her bridesmaids were equally as beautiful and awesome to work with! I started the day at G’s family home and photographed her getting ready with her ladies…
Her Vera Wang gown and Stewart Weitzman shoes were such a beautiful pairing

Central Park in the middle of New York City is such a perfect little spot for an engagement shoot. April and Nico graciously took us around the park on a super warm, ridiculously sweltering day, and even still, we had a super fun time!! They are two of the sweetest, kindest people ever, and I just loved getting to know them better! I can’t wait for your wedding in October guys!!! 🙂
Have you ever attended a workshop, seminar or photography related get away and left thinking ‘I wish they had offered _____’ or I loved this, but they could have done ____ better…. come on, you know you all have! I know I sure have!
One of the parts of my job that I love the most is the part where I can teach, whether it’s thru my own workshops at my studio or to be asked to be a part of someone else’s workshops or seminars. Last year I was honored to be a part of Inspire Boston- a several Read More
Oh man, how in the world do I start this post!!?? Okay, I’ll just throw it out there. I used to babysit for Allison and her brothers when I was a wee girl, juuuusssttt a little bit younger than I am today. What’s awesome is that by pure serendipity and chance our paths crossed while Allison and Kevin were looking for a wedding photographer. I am so excited we have reconnected, because I just can’t wait to see Allison on her wedding day (as well as her parents and her brothers!!)
It’s going to be a blast! Yay!
Way back when, I posted a sneak peek of Leila and Matt’s wedding here on the C10 blog and just about now (finally!!) I am getting around to posting it! It was also featured on The Ruffled Blog (one of my favorites!) here and here!
I just have to say that I absolutely loved this wedding. It was simple, sweet, home-grown, thoughtful, colorful, beautiful, and real. To me, a relative outsider, it seemed a wonderful reflection of a grounded, fun, and family-oriented couple. Sara Code-Kroll shot this wedding with me (boysie, I heart her!)! Check out our work below!
Before I headed out to vacation … (there will be a slew of these posts btw I am backed UP!!!!) …. my boy Greg Lewis and I headed over to our 2010 clients’ hometown to do their engagement shoot. It was hot, but the light was spot on- and the location was like something out of a dream for me!!!
Can you say 6 foot tall ferns??? Like, a FOREST of them???
Not to mention the super adorable and funny Sara and her tall drink of water fiancee, Jose- the nicest couple, ready for anything!
And I mean anything! Just Read More
I have so many posts coming but wanted to get a little something up for the awesome Abby and Kevin!
see you soon!
I’m always excited to experience new venues, and The Mount (Edith Wharton’s Estate and Gardens) in Lenox, MA did not disappoint. It was the perfect setting for Lisa and Al’s literature themed wedding, and Lindsay and Talia of Sixpence for Your Shoe knocked it out of the park with their professional planning and creative, stunning details. It was an evening straight out of an Edith Wharton novel.
Lisa’s Mom and her Maid of Honor, Namrata.
Lisa’s Dad sees her all dressed up.
Katy and Kyle!!!! I miss you guys already. There are some clients who achieve a certain status in our studio for some reason or another- where we feel like we are BFF’s with them and we chat about them all the time! Maybe it’s having their guest books in house, where we see their faces for a while, or I had such a great engagement session with them and I tell stories about it- not sure of the what’s or why’s but these two are those kind of clients for us!
I wish you both lived closer!!!
