Eyes up, heart open
Ahhh….. yes. 2010 comes to a close and the slew of blog posts / facebook status updates / twitter hoo has come bounding out! TIME TO WRITE YOUR GOALS FOR 2011!!!
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t dread and love this time of year. Why? Well, writing them holds me accountable to what I say I am going to do for myself, my family and my business. And at this point I just want to snuggle back into bed in my new fleece sheets and forget everything.
Which leads me to this! I was perusing Facebook this morning Read More
Lauren & Stephen in love from Jim Altieri on Vimeo.
I had the absolute pleasure of having the amazingly talented Jim Altieri of Vintage Cinema join me and Jazz Hands on our engagement shoot in the city last week…. I was over the moon to have him because Jim is one of those creative souls who I love to watch in action- and I think I know what he is seeing… but then he proves me completely, utterly and totally, dead. wrong. How he sees the same things I am looking at and interprets in the Read More
This maaaaaay be why I am sick again, or, better yet- this may be precisely why I love what I do. Now, I know. I see you rolling your eyes while you sit in your cubicle hoping your boss doesn’t catch you reading my blog! (hey! Don’t sweat it I catch my studio manager Dominique reading it all the time at work! )
… I am just ANOTHER photographer spouting off HOW MUCH I LOVE MY JOB! Gag me, I know. But I am going to be one of those today and I don’t care who knows it! (1/2 of Read More
In between the craziness of our November travels I came all the way back to my beloved state of CT to photograph the wedding of Anna and Chris at the River House and Hartford City Hall. I met Anna a few years back at a wedding of some of my awesome clients Jen and Nicole- and just loved her! How could you not, she is so welcoming, warm and fun!
So we started off our getting ready at Anna’s home…
The drawings were from the little village in Italy where Anna’s grandmother still lives…. I totally want to Read More
The feeling struck both of us as we walked into Jeannette’s parent’s warm, welcoming home. We were ready: gear on, trigger-finger poised — but, as we walked out of the October cold, what struck us was the calm. Jeannette met us at the door, offered us some coffee, and smiled. She was not nervous, anxious or frayed at the ends. She was completely calm — ready to marry the love of her life. I guess after years of working in Hospitals (where she and Brian met), tending to patients with emergencies, The Happiest Day of her life was nothing to Read More
Before the traveling craziness that this past November held I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful, classic and totally Hartford wedding of Brittania and Tim at the opulent Society Room of Hartford. Oh how I love the Society Room!! Brit and Tim chose to keep things nice and close and got ready at the Marriott Residence Inn right in downtown Hartford. Brit’s hair was done by the awesome Lauren of Dana Bartone & Company– her makeup was by Lindsey of Like Flutter for Lashes- and she was radiant and stunning!
The lovely Miss Jane of Just for You Read More

WHO DAT! The past month feels like such a whirlwind month for me, and I am no stranger to the whirl o’ the wind let me tell you! After my Day of the Dead opening with my pops, then an awesome hometown CT wedding we were OFF to New Orleans for Pictage’s Partner Con 2010. As the fall geared up here in CT, we headed to the southwest corner of our little Nutmeg state for the wedding of our sweet couple Caitlin and Scott at the Waterview in Monroe. We had amazing weather and a great group of people to help make their day the best! Along for the ride with me were my trusty two: Mike Romano and Greg Lewis, who never fail to keep me laughing all day long!
I started the day off with Caitlin getting ready at her family home, where she grew up.
Caitlin’s flowers had a Read More
